Kadang sangat membingungkan dalam masalah sayang, cinta, menjaga dan melindungi.
Mereka tidak tahu apa yang kita perbuat.
Mereka kadang memutuskan bahwa kita membatasi mereka
bahwa kita mengekang mereka
tapi sering kali mereka tidak tahu bahwa itu cara kita menunjukan rasa cemburu, sayang atau protektif kita
Kadang mereka harus juga bisa memikirkan perasaan kita.
Kita sering kali tidak mau melepas mereka dari genggaman kita
seperti kata orang
"Jangan pergi ketempat yang tidak bisa aku jangkau"
kadang.... bukan sering kali kata itulah yang ingin kita ucapkan
bukan untuk membatasi
bukan untuk mengekang
tetapi untuk melindungi mereka
untuk menjaga mereka
untuk mengarahkan mereka
ketempat yang kita inginkan (meskipun bertentangan dengan yang mereka mau)
seperti jika seorang anak "mmeninggalkan" orang tua mereka ke "tempat" yang tidak dipahami atau asing bagi orang tua mereka. saat sang anak "jatuh" kita kadang berusaha masuk ke "wilayah" itu
"wilayah" dimana tidak bisa kita kendalikan..... bukan...... tidak bisa kita untuk membantu sang anak
Sering kali kita meneriakan pada orang yang kita sayang/ cintai (baik dalam hati atau langsung)
jangan pergi...

A Deck Of Cards



A young soldier was in his bunkhouse all alone one Sunday morning over in Afghanistan. It was quiet that day, the guns and the mortars, and land mines for some reason hadn't made a noise. The young soldier knew it was Sunday, the holiest day of the week. As he was sitting there, he got out an old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk. Just then an army sergeant came in and said, "Why aren't you with the rest of the platoon?"

The soldier replied, "I thought I would stay behind and spend some time with the Lord." The sergeant said, "Looks like you're going to play cards." The soldier said, "No sir, you see, since we are not allowed to have Bibles or other spiritual books in this country, I've decided to talk to the Lord by studying this deck of cards."

The sergeant asked in disbelief, "How will you do that?"

"You see the Ace, Sergeant, it reminds that there is only one God. The Two represents the two parts of the Bible, Old and New Testaments.

The Three represents the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

The Four stands for the Four Apostles: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

The Five is for the five virgins that were ten but only five of them were glorified.

The Six is for the six days it took God to create the Heavens and Earth.

The Seven is for the day God rested after working the six days.

The Eight is for the family of Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives, in which God saved the eight people from the flood that destroyed the earth for the first time.

The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus cleansed of leprosy. He cleansed ten but nine never thanked Him.

The Ten represents the Ten Commandments that God handed down to Moses on tablets made of stone.

The Jack is a reminder of Satan. One of God's first angels, but he got kicked out of heaven for his sly and wicked ways and is now the joker of eternal hell.

The Queen stands for the Virgin Mary.

The King stands for Jesus, for he is the King of all kings.

When I count the dots on all the cards, I come up with 365 total: one for every day of the year.

There are a total of 52 cards in a deck: each is a week, 52 weeks in a year.

The four suits represents the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Each suit has thirteen cards: there are exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter.

So when I want to talk to God and thank Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards and they remind me of all that I have to be thankful for."

The sergeant just stood there and after a minute, with tears in his eyes and pain in his heart, he said, "Soldier, can I borrow that deck of cards?"

LOVE IS A SERIOUS MENTAL DISEASE..

1. it hurts to say goodbye to the person you almost gave your life to. knowing that life won’t be the same w/o them. but its better to give up the feeling. rather than to know you’re the only one fighting.

2. never frown even if youÂ’re sad coz you’ll never know who is falling inlove with your smile. to the world maybe you are one person. but to one person, maybe you’re the world.

3. always remember that if a person loved you once, even after a hundred years there will still be some of that love left. no matter how much that person denies it.

4. never let someone make you feel stupid. rather make that someone feel stupid for letting the only one like you go. then face him and say, “you’re just someone, not my only one.”

5. when you decide to love, allow it to grow. when you promise to love, refuse to let it go. love is a painful risk to take. only love makes you cry and only love knows why.

6. why do we fall for someone who isnÂ’t really for us? Should we blame ourselves for falling with the wrong one? Or should we blame the one we fell inlove cause he made us feel that theyÂ’re the right one.

Life As I See It

1. Caring is a wonderful gift that no one can buy. It is made up of love that roots in our hearts to make fruits of memory not just always but for a lifetime.

2. A great life is not about routine but doing something rare. To cherish and not to compare. To forgive, not to blame and to be loving without counting. Laugh at your mistakes but learn from them. Joke over your troubles but gather strength from them Have fun with your difficulties but overcome them.

3. The mind of God is different from the thoughts of man. As we follow Him, we discover that we lose to gain. Surrender to win, die to live. Give to receive, serve to reign. Scatter to reap. In weakness, we are made strong. In humility, we are lifted up & in emptiness, we are made full.

4. In life, you will never know what you’ve been missing until it arrives. And you will never know what you’ve got until its missing. Appreciate every little thing you have.

5. Before you start the day, just gently lay every troubled thought away. Drop burdens and cares in the quiet arms of prayer because God listens.

Dengan Segelas Susu

Suatu hari seorang bocah perempuan miskin sedang berjualan dari rumah ke rumah demi membiayai sekolahnya. Ia merasa lapar dan haus, tapi sayangnya ia hanya mempunyai sedikit sekali uang

Anak itu memutuskan untuk meminta makanan dari rumah terdekat. Tetapi, saat seorang gadis muda membukakan pintu, ia kehilangan keberaniannya.

Akhirnya ia hanya meminta segelas air putih untuk menawarkan dahaga. Gadis muda itu berpikir pastilah anak ini merasa lapar, maka dibawakannyalah segelas besar susu untuk anak tersebut. Ia meminumnya perlahan, kemudian bertanya, "Berapa saya berhutang kepada anda ?"

"Kamu tidak berhutang apapun kepada saya," jawabnya. "Ibuku mengajarkan untuk tidak menerima bayaran untuk perbuatan baik yang kami lakukan."

Anak itu menjawab, "Kalau begitu, saya hanya bisa mengucapkan terima kasih dari lubuk hati saya yang terdalam."

Saat Howard Kelly bocah kecil yang miskin itu meninggalkan rumah tersebut, dia bukan hanya merasa badannya lebih segar, tetapi keyakinannya pada Tuhan dan sesama manusia menjadi lebih kuat. Sebelumnya dia sudah merasa putus asa dan hampir menyerah.

Tahun demi tahun berlalu. Suatu hari ada seorang wanita muda mengalami sakit parah. Dokter yang menanganinya merasa bingung dan akhirnya mengirim wanita itu ke kota besar untuk mendapatkan pertolongan spesialis.

Dr. Howard Kelly dipanggil untuk berkonsultasi. Ketika ia mendengar nama kota tempat asal si pasien, ia segera pergi ke kamar tempat dimana wanita tersebut di rawat. Ia langsung mengenali wanita tersebut dan memutuskan untuk melakukan hal terbaik yang bisa ia usahakan untuk menolongnya. Sejak hari itu, ia memberikan perhatian khusus pada kasus ini. Setelah melewati perjuangan panjang, peperangan-pun dapat dimenangkan.

Dr. Kelly dipanggil oleh pihak administrasi untuk menandatangani kuitansi biaya yang harus dibayarkan oleh si wanita kepadanya. Ia melihat kepada kuitansi tersebut, dan kemudian menuliskan sesuatu. Kuintansi tersebut lalu dikirim ke kamar perawatan si wanita. Wanita tersebut merasa takut untuk membukanya, karena ia merasa yakin bahwa ia tidak akan mampu membayarnya. Akhirnya dengan menguatkan hati, ia melihat ke kuintansi tersebut. Sebuah tulisan pada kuitansi telah menarik perhatiannya.

Ia membaca tulisan itu:
"TELAH DIBAYAR PENUH DENGAN SATU GELAS SUSU."

Kehidupan Bagaikan Jeruk

Dalam cerita film Forrest Gump, ibu Gump mengatakan padanya bahwa kehidupan manusia bagaikan sekotak coklat, Anda tidak tahu bakal mendapatkan rasa yang mana. Saya pikir, sekotak coklat itu pasti berisi aneka rasa! Karena setahu saya kebanyakan orang akan memilih rasa yang disukai saat membeli, bagaimana dengan Anda?

Guru Lin Guizhen menulis sebuah buku yang berjudul Kehidupan Bagaikan Jeruk. Saya sangat mengemari buku tersebut, lalu saya menjulukinya dengan sebutan “Guru Jeruk”. Di bawah ini mengutip beberapa bagian dalam buku tersebut untuk kita simak:

“Kehidupan bagaikan jeruk”, Anda sendiri yang menentukan nasib Anda, seperti saat memutuskan memilih jeruk, setelah dibeli manis atau masam harus Anda tanggung sendiri. Bukankah begitu? Jeruk sudah dibeli manis atau masam harus ditanggung sendiri, mengapa harus menyalahkan?

“Kehidupan bagaikan jeruk”, kehilangan kesehatan bagaikan jeruk yang sudah berubah rasa, bisa jadi akan menimpa diri sendiri, juga mungkin terjadi pada diri teman kita. Kehidupan bagaikan jeruk, jika sudah tiba “waktunya, cepat atau lambat akan berubah rasa, “kehidupan” yang kita miliki hanyalah saat dia belum mengalami perubahan rasa.”

“Kehidupan bagaikan jeruk”, satu buah jeruk kupas, belum tentu keseluruhannya manis, kadang juga ada yang masam, tetapi untuk mengetahui manis ataupun masam harus kita sendiri yang mencoba baru bisa tahu rasanya.

“Kehidupan bagaikan jeruk”, terlalu masam juga tidak enak dimakan, terlalu manis juga bisa bosan, dengan bisa merasakan manis dan masam, barulah kehidupan manusia yang sebenarnya!

“Kehidupan bagaikan jeruk”, sepanjang kehidupan yang kita jalani, apakah harus menunggu kehidupan ini mendekat ke titik akhir dari hidup, baru bisa benar-benar menyadari apakah jeruk tersebut lebih banyak masam daripada manis? Ataukah manis lebih banyak daripada masam? Mungkin beginilah yang disebut sebagai makna yang hakiki dari kehidupan!

”Kehidupan bagaikan jeruk”, masalah selalu terjadi silih berganti, rasanya masam ataukah manis hanya diri kita sendiri yang memutuskan.

Kehidupan bagaikan jeruk”, Sepertinya kehidupan manusia ini tidak perlu harus mempunyai aturan main yang tetap, mana ada jawaban dari kehidupan? Jika kehidupan hanya seperti sebutir jeruk, maka jeruk itu jika disimpan terlalu lama bukankah akan menjadi rusak? Mengapa tidak memakan dan merasakannya sewaktu jeruk itu masih segar?

Sebenarnya hidup ini melalui episode demi episode, tetapi jika dikumpulkan menjadi satu adalah kehidupan manusia. Persis seperti halnya sebutir jeruk, dalamnya terdiri dari lapis demi lapis yang melingkar dan membentuk menjadi satu buah jeruk

Maniskah jeruk Anda? Masamkah jeruk saya? Rasanya bagaimana hanya bisa terjawab oleh diri kita sendiri.

”Kehidupan bagaikan jeruk”, persis seperti ketika Anda membeli sebutir jeruk, majikan yang berhati baik lalu memberi tambahan sebutir buah pir kepada Anda, agak di luar dugaan dan merasa sedikit terheran-heran. Hidup ini sungguh menakjubkan, jika belum sampai sisa nafas yang terakhir, Anda benar-benar tidak bisa mengetahui sebelumnya apa rasa sesungguhnya dari jeruk itu?

Setiap orang hanya memiliki sebutir jeruk kehidupan, dimakan luar biasa enaknya, lebih-lebih mempunyai perasaan yang khas, maka Anda harus berlaku seperti petani buah yang telah mencurahkan pikiran dan tenaga berlipat ganda. Seperti halnya saat menjaga serta melindungi anak kecil, jeruk yang sudah ditambah dengan kasih dalam hati, jika dicicipi sudah pasti rasanya luar biasa enak tiada tara.

Inilah rasanya menjadi manusia punya rasa kecewa, benci, iri, cinta, rindu, sayang dan lain sebagainya. saat ini g lagi nonton disney's the kid dan disini rasa kemanusiaan g yaitu iri. G nggak bisa berkata apa-apa kenapa iri marutha ini hanya sebuah film SEBUAH FILM. Kadang g juga bingung ma orang-orang disekitar g mereka diberi anugerah wajah yang menawan, mereka diberi kepercayaan diri yang tinggi tapi kadang mereka buta akan orang yang menyayanginya. Kadang g jika ada film yang menceritakan seorang ce yang mencintai co dan si co nggak menyadarinya. Kadang g ingin seperti itu. Kadang g ingin hal itu terjadi padaku. Tapi itu tak pernah terjadi dan mungkin inilah g kurang mempunyai pesona, kurang dalam segala hal, dan kurang mengerti bagaimana mengerti dan mengejar sosok yang bernama wanita. Mungkin aku yang buta, mungkin aku yang tidak menyadari, tp inilah aku sosok yang mungkin TANPA pesona, TANPA pribadi yang menarik, TANPA kemampuan yang menonjol.

Aku ingin dicintai seperti orang lain, aku ingin dimengerti seperti orang lain. Mungkin aku yang salah mungkin aku yang tidak mengerti arti sosialisasi. Adakah cinta yang tulus kepada ku ? Adakah cinta yang tak pernah berakhir ? Selalu untuk selamanya. Tuhan tolong tunjukan jalan untuk anak-Mu ini. Tunjukan Aku jalan-Mu saja aku tak ingin tau yang lain dan aku yakin semua yang kau beri itu yang terbaik untukku

Empat tahun yang lalu

Sudah nggak terasa empat tahun telah berlalu. Beberapa hari yang lalu temennya temen g yang dari FISIP datang karena dia mau wisuda hari ini. G jadi teringat pertemuan g dengan dia empat tahun yang lalu. G kalo inget kejadian itu pengen nangis tapi juga merasa bahagia juga. Kalo nggak salah sekitar agustus empat tahun yang lalu temen g minta dianterin ke kost temennya itu. Dia mengenalkan g ke temennya itu ternyata dia itu orang yang sangat supel dan baik banget nggak terasa g menaruh hati kepadanya (yah maklumlah namanya juga co apalagi blom punya pacar). Dia ma temen g ngobrol rada lama dan dia berkata lucu juga ya loe nama loe juga lucu kayak komik naruto (g ketawa dengan senyum tersungging di bibir). G sebagai laki-laki cukup senang dikatakan lucu walau menurut g, g nggak lucu. Thanks tp dia berkata kalau g bukan co tipe yang dia suka. Pada waktu itu g cuma bisa ketawa (beneran ketawa ya) walau dalam hati g, g rada hancur sih. Hahahahahahaha g kadang ketawa klo inget cerita ini juga bagaimana nggak lucu di tolak ditempat secara terang terangan pada saat itu juga dan ternyata emang g suka ma tuh ce hahahahahahahaha

g bingung mau berkata apa tapi nggak terasa empat tahun telah berlalu dan dia ternyata udah mau diwisuda g emang pernah mencintai dia tapi ternyata g bukan tipe dia dan g hormati keputusannya. G nggak pernah mengutarakan perasaan g kepadanya dan dia mungkin nggak akan pernah tau apa yang g rasakan yah mungkin ini yang terbaik bagi dia dan g. Just a Friend and I will be her friend forever.

Jalanilah kehidupanmu seperti biasa walau hal yang terjadi tidak sesuai yang engkau ingini atau engkau mau dan biarkan semuanya berlalu tanpa seorangpun menyadari akan perasaanmu dan hatimu ---- Marutha Soemarto

Persahabatan ...........
Persahabatan berasal dari kata sahabat yang di beri imbuhan per- dan -an.
Sahabat menurut Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia berarti kawan, teman atau handai.
Jadi Kalau Persahabatan itu perihal bersahabat, atau pehubungan selaku sahabat kata Eyang Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia.

Kemarin setelah g nonton film ma temen-temen g, g nonton anime di suatu stasiun televisi yang berjudul "XXXHolic" (wah kalau dilihat dari judulnya bahaya tuh film wkwkwkwk). Disitu mengisahkan tetang orang yang kurang akrab tapi hubungan diantara mereka bagaikan sahabat yang saling melindungi satu dengan yang lain.

Bagi loe sahabat itu bagaimana??
mungkin orang yang mengerti loe, orang yang bisa jaga rahasia loe, orang yang bisa buat curhat loe ,orang yang menemani loe suka dan duka , orang yang menopang loe, orang yang ngebelain loe dan seterusnya dan seterusnya

Kadang kita juga pernah disakiti sahabat kita tp apa semua yang dia lakuin itu emang berupaya membuat kita jatuh? atau untuk mengingatkan kita supaya kita kembali kejalan yang benar?
Sahabat yang baik pasti akan melakukan sesuatu yang dianggapnya benar meski itu menyakitkan hati loe atau itu tidak sesuai dengan keinginan loe. Dia pasti juga berpikir apakah yang dipilihnya benar atau salah tp kl dia melakukannya berarti dia telah mengambil keputusan apa pun itu akhirnya. mau baik mau buruk kita yang sebagai sahabatnya yang akan menilai dia.

g juga pernah melakukan kesalahan yaitu mencintai orang yang dicintai sahabat g tp g tetep melakukan itu walau membuat dia marah. g melakukan itu juga g berasumsi bahwa g nggak pernah ngejelekin dia di depan tuh ce. g ingin bertarung dengan adil meskipun g tahu yang berada dibelakang dia itu banyak (termasuk g dan g nggak melanggar janji g, g tetep beri kesempatan yang g miliki untuk ngedeketin tu ce buat dia) yah memang g salah tp g berpikir g nggak pager makan taneman karena g nggak jelek jelekin dia dan mungkin g sekarang dijauhin yah nggak papa sih g enjoy walau dia nggak nganggep g sahabat dia lagi tp g tetep akan anggep dia sahabat g dan akan g lakuin sama seperti dahulu

Yah emang kesalahan berada di pihak g sih terserah orang mau ngomong apa g nggak menyesal dengan apa yang terjadi karena g sudah berusaha mengutarakan perasaan g kepada tuh ce dan g nggak menyesal g lega dia tau, g lega akhirnya dia jadian dengan orang yang dia cintai, g lega banget dan g senang karena setiap hari g masih melihat senyum diwajahnya dari kejauhan.

Despicable Me dan kisah hidup

Waktu tlah berlalu begitu cepat nggak terasa udah 2010 dan ternyata g udah lama nggak nulis di blog ini. Malem sebelumnya g ngobrol ma temen g dan katanya dia lagi liat blog orang. Waktu itu g langsung kepikiran akan nasib blog g yang terlantar dan nggak pernah g tulis lagi. Dan malem itu g langsung liat blog g dan ternyata udah lama banget g nggak nulis di blog ini dan yang lebih mengenaskan lagi ternyata ini adalah tulisan di blog g yang pertama di tahun 2010 ini yang telah terlewat 7 bulan wkwkwkwkwkwk dan yang lebih mengenaskan lagi g blom punya pacar dari terakhir nulis ni blog sampe sekarang detik ini. Sebel sih rasanya kayak nya semua kisah cinta g blom diberkati oleh Yang Empunya Langit , Bumi dan Jagat Raya Ini.

Gue mau bagi cerita ma kalian waktu kemarin tanggal 20 juli yang lalu g nonton film bareng ma temen g yaitu "despicable me" menurut g sih film ini lucu (nggak + banget ya) bisa dibilang menarik. film ini mengisahkan tentang gru (seorang pencuri) yang menurut g mempunyai karakter yang menarik ,tp mungkin lebih tepat unik, yang ingin mengalahkan sainganya vector (seorang pencuri yang diberitakan telah mencuri piramit giza "apa piramit giza nggak becanda tuh ?? sayangnya nggak becanda ") dan si gru berencana mencuri bulan (what ?? BULAN nggak masuk akal nih film becanda ) dan dimulailah rencana si gru tersebut dibantu oleh tentara minion miliknya. untuk mewujudkan keingiannya tersebut ternyata gru di hambat oleh saingannya vector. Vector berhasil mencuri senjata yang dia inginkan yaitu senjata pengerut / pengecil .Dia sudah berusaha untuk mencoba mencuri kembali senjata itu dengan cara masuk kedalam kediaman vector. Ternyata dengan berbagai cara si gru gagal masuk kedalam kediaman vector. sampai pada suatu saat dia melihat ada 3 anak yatim piatu yang menawarkan roti ke kediaman vector. Hal itu memberikan ide kepada si gru cara mencuri senjata tersebut. akhirnya gru menjadikan mereka anak angkatnya guna memperdaya victor dan mencuri senjata tersebut. Dan Gru berhasil mendapatkan senjata tersebut dan dia berencana mau meninggalkan mereka ketika mereka ingin pergi ke taman hiburan. Namun ternyata rencana gru gagal untuk meninggalkan mereka bahkan bukanya meninggalkan mereka hubungan mereka malah semakin dekat. singkat cerita gru tidak fokus lagi dengan tujuan asalnya. Hal itu membuat prof yang bekerja pada gru marah dan akhirnya prof menelepon yayasan tersebut untuk mengembalikan mereka. gru terkejut. Gru akhirnya berangkat ke bulan dan mengecilkan bulan dan pada saat tersebut dari sakunya keluar sebuah tiket pertunjukan balet ketiga anak angkatnya. dia terburu buru pulang ke bumi dan sesampainya disana dia tertinggal pertunjukan tersebut. Dikursinya terdapat sebuah kertas yang ditulis oleh anak-anak angkatnya dan ternyata dibalik surat tersebut terdapat logo vector yang menyuruh gru membawa bulan ke kediamannya. Gru mendatangi kediaman vector dan memberikan bulan kepadanya akan tetapi vector melanggar janjinya sehingga membuat gru naik pitam dan mengejar vector pada saat tersebut gru mengetahui bahwa benda yang dikecikan oleh senjata tersebut akan kembali membesar dan jika semakin besar benda yang disusutkan semakin cepat benda itu kembali kekeadaan semula. singkat cerita gru berhasil menolong anak2 angkatnya dan bulan kembali keposisi asalnya.

G kadang berpikir apa bisa matahari menyentuh bulan seperti tanganku ingin menggapai "Awan" dilangit. Kadang g juga berpikir bisakah matahari menghangatkan pluto (pada jarak yang tetap)? Akan tetapi difilm ini 3 lilin kecil bisa mencairkan gunung es yang besar. dan temen g akhirnya bisa mendapatkan orang yang dia incar dari dulu. tp kenapa hal ini nggak pernah terjadi padaku kadang aku berpikir dengan sangat keras dan hanya ada 1 jawaban Blom waktunya AnakKu

G juga beberapa "minggu" belakangan ini merasa beban telah berkurang satu. beban telah tertanggal dengan melihat dia tersenyum dan kebahagian yang didapat oleh dirinya. walau merasa sangat sedih karena lembaran hitam kembali kedalam meja kehidupanku tapi disisi lain g bahagia karena mungkin dia tidak akan sebahagia sekarang jika dia bersama ku.

Hidup emang sangat tidak dapat di mengerti kadang suka kadang duka. kadang ada hitam kadang ada putih kadang hujan kadang terang kadang indah kadang buruk yah beginilah hidup bagaimana cara engkau akan mewarnai hidupmu ?? hanya kamu yang bisa menjawabnya. Kadang aku menyesali segala yang telah terjadi...

Takdir Pertemuan

Biarlah Anda yang menentukan siapa berutang kepada siapa.

Hubungan antara Laurie dan ibunya sangat rumit. Ayahnya telah meninggalkan mereka demi wanita lain ketika Laurie baru tiga bulan.

Setiap beberapa tahun, ibunya akan membawanya pindah ke kota yang baru. Sering berpindah-pindah membuat Laurie merasa seolah-olah dia tidak punya kampung halaman. Karena ia harus pindah sekolah berkali-kali, dia tidak punya teman tetap. Dia tidak pernah memaafkan ibunya karena kehilangan ini.

Dia mulai bertengkar dengan ibunya, baik sengaja maupun tidak sengaja. Kalau ibunya memintanya untuk pergi ke timur, ia akan pergi ke barat. Kalau ibunya memintanya untuk membeli gula, dia akan pulang membawa garam. Meskipun dia dan ibunya bersama-sama sepanjang waktu, hati mereka terpisah sepuluh ribu mil.

Ketika ibunya membawanya ke gereja, Laurie berdoa, "Tuhan, jika Engkau benar-benar mencintai anak-anak-Mu, mengapa Engkau mengatur saya bersama seorang ibu semacam ini?"

'Perang dingin' antara ibu dan anak ini berakhir pada hari ulang tahunnya yang kedelapan belas. Bagaikan burung keluar sangkar, dia segera pindah. Tak lama kemudian, ia menikah, tapi kebahagiaan itu tidak berlangsung lama. Ibunya tiba-tiba didiagnosa menderita kanker dan meninggal dalam waktu enam bulan.

Ketika ia mendengar berita ini, Laurie tidak tahu apa yang harus dia lakukan. Ia ingin menangis tapi ia juga ingin tertawa. Air mata memenuhi seluruh wajahnya. Tak lama kemudian dia sangat menyesali masa lalunya dan mengingat kembali semua kebaikan ibunya.

Dalam angin dan hujan, adalah ibunya yang telah membawa dia ke rumah sakit dan mengawasinya sepanjang malam. Semua hadiah di bawah pohon Natal itu untuk dirinya sementara ibunya tidak punya satupun. Pada hari sebelum ulang tahunnya, adalah ibunya yang sampai larut malam memanggang kue pestanya meskipun dia tidak punya banyak teman-teman kecil. Ketika ia bermain bisbol atau sepak bola, adalah ibunya yang bersorak untuknya di bawah terik matahari. Adalah ibunya yang mengantarnya ke sekolah dan menjemputnya selama bertahun-tahun.

Semakin Laurie berpikir, semakin dia menyesali kesalahannya dan dia menjadi semakin sedih. Ia jatuh sakit. Sebelas tahun kemudian, ketika ia datang ke klinik saya, separuh rambutnya sudah memutih. Dia baru tiga puluh tahun lebih, cukup muda untuk punya anak, tapi dia menderita penyakit hypochondria (bersedih hati), nyeri otot, dan gejala sindrom perimenopause (manopaus sebelum waktunya).
Takdir Pertemuan Tidak Terbentuk dalam Satu Masa Kehidupan

Bagaimana mungkin seorang wanita berusia awal tiga puluhan memiliki gejala-gejala ini? Saya bertanya tentang riwayat kesehatan keluarganya. Segera setelah saya bertanya tentang ibunya, ia bercucuran air mata, dan hampir tidak bisa bicara karena menangis. Lalu ia menceritakan kisahnya sedikit demi sedikit.

Dia menggambarkan secara rinci bagaimana ia menentang ibunya dan bagaimana ia mempermalukan ibunya dengan membuat adegan-adegan di depan teman-temannya. Dia menyesal karena tidak punya kesempatan untuk meminta maaf kepada ibunya atau untuk membayar kembali semua yang telah diberikan ibunya.

Saya tahu tidak ada obat yang bisa menyembuhkan penyeselannya dan juga melepas simpul di hatinya. Namun, saya segera melihat ada suatu mimpi yang dapat menyembuhkan penyakitnya.

Suatu hari, Laurie melihat ibunya dalam mimpi. Dia menangis meminta ibunya untuk memaafkan dia, mengatakan bahwa ia sangat merindukannya dan menyatakan penyesalan.

Meskipun demikian, ibunya memarahi dia dengan tegas: "Berhentilah menangis! Sejak saya melahirkan kamu, saya tidak pernah mengalami hari baik, dan adalah karena kamu saya mati terlalu muda. Kematian saya adalah salahmu. Sekarang bahkan di dunia bawah, saya masih mencari kesempatan untuk membalas. Saya mempunyai urusan dengan penyakit kamu. Ketika saya hidup di dunia, saya adalah ibumu. Sekarang saya sudah mati, kita adalah musuh."

Laurie sangat terkejut. Dia teringat kejadian-kejadian masa kecilnya dan berpikir, "Saya sakit karena Anda, tapi Anda menyalahkan saya karena menyakiti Anda. Apa yang harus saya lakukan?" Dengan marah, ia terbangun dan teringat jelas dengan mimpi ini. Dia menyesali kemarahannya, tapi tidak tahu apa yang harus dilakukan.

Ketika Laurie datang ke klinik dan menceritakan mimpinya, dia tidak bisa tenang. Dia ingin tahu pendapat saya.

Saya berpikir sejenak dan berkata padanya, "Kemarahan dapat menyebabkan penyakit tetapi juga dapat mengobati penyakit. Anda sangat kehilangan ibu anda yang anda derita begitu lama. Tidak ada obat yang bisa membantu anda. Sekarang anda marah, dan kemarahan itu bisa melepas simpul ini segera. Anda bisa melihat betapa sulitnya ibu anda mencoba membantu anda. Dikatakan bahwa tidak seorangpun mengenal anak lebih daripada sang ibu. Hal ini terjadi karena ibu anda masih merawat anda. Meskipun dia berada di dunia bawah, dia masih tidak ingin melihat anda kesakitan dan dengan menggunakan 'arti yang berlawanan' dia telah membebaskan anda dari rasa sakit. Anda harus berterimakasih padanya. "

Laurie mendengarkan saya dan sepertinya mengerti. Dia menenangkan diri dan kemudian meninggalkan klinik. Sejak itu, ia telah kembali beberapa kali. Dia telah sepenuhnya pulih dari penyakit.

mom and son

My mom only had one eye. I hated her, she was such an embarrassment. My mom ran a small shop at a flea market.She collected little weeds and such to sell, anything for the money we needed she was such an embarrassment.There was this one day during elementary school. I remember that it was field day, and my mom came. I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me? I threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school..."Your mom only has one eye?!" and they taunted me.

I wished that my mom would just disappear from this world so I said to my mom, "Mom, why don't you have the other eye?! You're only going to make me a laughingstock. Why don't you just die?" My mom did not respond. I guess I felt a little bad, but at the same time, it felt good to think that I had said what I'd wanted to say all this time.

Maybe it was because my mom hadn't punished me, but I didn't think that I had hurt her feelings very badly.

That night...I woke up, and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. My mom was crying there, so quietly, as if she was afraid that she might wake me. I took a look at her, and then turned away. Because of the thing I had said to her earlier, there was something pinching at me in the corner of my heart. Even so, I hated my mother who was crying out of her one eye. So I told myself that I would grow up and become successful, because I hated my one-eyed mom and our desperate poverty.

Then I studied really hard. I left my mother and came to Seoul and studied, and got accepted in the Seoul University with all the confidence I had. Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. Then I had kids, too. Now I'm living happily as a successful man. I like it here because it's a place that doesn't remind me of my mom.

This happiness was getting bigger and bigger, when someone unexpected came to see me "What?! Who's this?!"... It was my mother...Still with her one eye. It felt as if the whole sky was falling apart on me. My little girl ran away, scared of my mom's eye.

And I asked her, "Who are you? I don't know you!!!" as if I tried to make that real. I screamed at her "How dare you come to my house and scare my daughter! Get out here now!" And to this, my mother quietly answered, "oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address," and she disappeared. Thank good ness... she doesn't recognize me. I was quite relieved. I told myself that I wasn't going to care, or think about this for the rest of my life.

Then a wave of relief came upon me... one day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. I lied to my wife saying that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went down to the old shack, that I used to call a house...just out of curiosity there, I found my mother fallen on the cold ground. But I did not shed a single tear. She had a piece of paper in her hand.... it was a letter to me.

She wrote...

My Son,
I think my life has been long enough now. And... I won't visit Seoul anymore... but would it be too much to ask if I wanted you to come visit me once in a while? I miss you so much. And I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I decided not to go to the school.... For you... I'm sorry that I only have one eye, and I was an embarrassment for you.

You see, when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with only one eye... so I gave you mine... I was so proud of my son that was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye. I was never upset at you for anything you did. The couple times that you were angry with me. I thought to myself, 'it's because he loves me.' I miss the times when you were still young around me.

I miss you so much. I love you. You mean the world to me. My world shattered! Then I cried for the person who lived for me.

10th Grade:-
As I sat there in English class,
I stared at the girl next to me.
She was my so called 'best friend'.
I stared at her long, silky hair,
and wished she was mine.
But she didn't notice me like that,
and I knew it.
After class,
she walked up to me and asked me for
the notes she had missed the day before.
I handed them to her.She said 'thanks'
and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I want to tell her, I want her to know
that I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.

11th grade:-
The phone rang. On the other end,
it was her. She was in tears,
mumbling on and on about how
her love had broke her heart.
She asked me to come over
because she didn't want to be alone, So I did.
As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her
soft eyes, wishing she was mine.
After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie,
and three bags of chips,
she decided to go home.
She looked at me, said 'thanks'
and gave me a kiss
on the cheek..I want to tell her,
I want her to know that
I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.

Senior year:-
One fine day she walked to my locker.
"My date is sick" she said,
"hes not gonna go" well,
I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade,
we made a promise that
if neither of us had dates,
we would go together just as 'best friends'.
So we did.
That night, after everything was over,
I was standing at her front door step.
I stared at her as She smiled at me
and stared at me with her crystal eyes.
Then she said- "I had the best time, thanks!"
and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I want to tell her,

Graduation:-
A day passed, then a week, then a month.
Before I could blink, it was graduation day.
I watched as her perfect body
floated like an angel
up on stage to get her diploma.
I wanted her to be mine-but
she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it.
Before everyone went home,
she came to me in her smock and hat,
and cried as I hugged her.
Then she lifted her head from my shoulder
and said- 'you're my best friend,

Marriage:-
Now I sit in the pews of the church.
That girl is getting married now.

she came to me and said 'you came !'.
She said 'thanks' and kissed me on the cheek.
I want to tell her,

Death:-
Years passed, I looked down at the coffin
of a girl who used to be my 'best friend'.
At the service, they read a diary entry
she had wrote in her high school years.
This is what it read:
'I stare at him wishing he was mine,
but he doesn't notice me like that,
and I know it.
I want to tell him,
I want him to know that
I don't want to be just friends,
I love him but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.
I wish he would tell me he loved me !
.........'I wish I did too...'

I thought to my self, and I cried.
